Wildcats Baseball

Wildcats Baseball was founded in 2021 after Dr. Neil Webber recognized the City of Calgary’s need for youth baseball fields. 530 acres of land was purchased in Rocky View County just west of the city limits with the hope of establishing a lasting presence in the Calgary baseball community. Ground was broken in August of 2020 for a brand new Webber Academy Athletic park, which included 4 baseball fields, a soccer pitch, and a state-of-the-art, 50,000 square foot indoor training facility.

Our mission is to provide a positive baseball experience for as many age and skill levels as possible. We offer introductory programming all the way up to year-round high-performance development.  Depending on the time of year, players will be able to participate in single-day sessions, skill-specific off-season training, and/or competitive summer baseball teams.

Here at Wildcats Baseball we believe in always trying to find better ways to help develop young baseball players. To be a successful coach, you have to be open minded as well as knowledgeable. There are approaches to coaching that still have a place in the game, but as the sport grows we feel it is important to understand the new ways to approach development and strive to find a middle ground that can be applicable to youth.

Wildcats Baseball is proud to offer both baseball development programs and a college preparatory program. Our baseball development programs offer position-specific training and generalized baseball training to accommodate all commitment and skill levels. Our college preparatory program is designed to develop high school aged baseball players in the City of Calgary and surrounding areas and aid them in finding appropriate post-secondary baseball programs to continue both their playing and academic careers.
