OFFSEASON

Septemer 1 - April 15

Training will take place at the Webber Academy Athletic Park. Exhibition and tournament play teams will be selected based on skill level but do not reflect final decisions regarding 2023 Summer Season. Training will take place in large group settings to ensure all players recieve the same instruction and opportunity. All players accepted into the offseason program are guaranteed a spot on one of our U18 teams.

All players will be invited to attend two tournaments in the fall. The AABC Keith Jorgensen Memorial & Best of the West Qualifier

Fall Development Schedule

September 5 - Oct 15

Fall Ball will be dedicated to individual development in competitive situations including live at-bats, intersquads  and exhibitions

Winter Development Schedule

October 15 - March 15

Training will take place Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday during the winter months with drop in sessions available on off days. Areas of focus for the winter include strength and conditioning, pitching mechanics, hitting mechanics, workshops, volunteer events and guest lectures. The weight room at the facility will be available during all facilty hours.

Season Ramp Up and Player Evaluation Period

March 15 - April 15

Spring training will be dedicated to prepairing for the competitive season, practices will include intersquad games, exhibition games and competitive training situations

College Prep

 

  • For 2004-2007 born players
  • Roster size = 20 +
  • Will play strongest exhibition/travel competition schedule
  • Not equal playing time
  • Best of West Showcase Invitational (pending qualification)
  • Vauxhall Invitational
  • Langley Blaze Invitational
  • Okotoks Dawgs Mother’s Day Tournament
  • Host Tournament
  • College Showcase Trip
  • 2 Tournaments + College stops en route (July)

Varsity

 

  • For 2004-06 born players only
  • Roster size = 18
  • Stronger emphasis on playing time to ensure the development of all players
  • Will compete in Baseball AB AAA Tier 2
  • Supplemental exhibitions against the similar-level competition
  • Tournaments
  • Best of the West Midget Classic
  • Doc Plotsky 18U AAA Tier 1
  • Valley of Champions
  • 1x USA Travel Tournament
  • Host Tournament

Jr. Varsity

 

  • For 2007 born players
  • Roster size = 16
  • Main emphasis on the development of all players
  • No pitcher only
  • Will compete in Baseball AB 18U AA
  • Supplemental exhibitions against similar-level competition
  • Tournaments

  • Doc Plotsky 18U AAA Tier 2
